Second Annual Medical Symposium & Luncheon

04 November 2011

The Loeb Central Park Boathouse once again served as the backdrop for the Second Annual Medical Symposium & Luncheon.  Grantees past and present flew in from around the country to discuss the latest discoveries in hematologic malignancies.  Medical Advisory Board Chair, Dr. Stephen D. Nimer started the morning off by announcing the creation of a new collaborative grant for past grantees.  Co-Founder and President Denise Rich received a standing ovation at the top of the afternoon session for her years of dedication to funding research.  The symposium, generously sponsored by Millennium: The Takeda Oncology Company, featured a variety of talks on the exciting research being conducted by these brilliant physician-scientists.  This annual event provides a much-needed forum for both doctors and donors to understand more fully the focus of the Foundation’s mission.  Plans for the 2012 event
